Support and Outreach

This being an Accountant's Journal, we would like to be an avenue where people can help our fellow accountants who are in need of financial help.

I have known very few CPA couples in my entire life. One of them is Mr. Alex and Mrs. Eva Brill. Mr. Brill (Daddy Pogi) was then a bank manager when I met him. He was a very kind man who always had a ready smile on his face for everyone. I met him through my college professor, Mrs. Eva Brill (Motherhood). She on the other hand looked and talked like a very strict professor in Accountancy but once you get to know her she is not just a mentor but a very compassionate person and a kind and loving mom. They were an epitome of "true love". They raised two wonderful daughters together.

Mrs. Brill was finishing her law school and was my professor in UPHR when Mr. Brill had a stroke. Since then, my professor stopped attending law school and spent her time teaching in the university (UPHR) while taking care of her beloved spouse and raising both kids. Despite the odds, Mrs. Brill and Mr. Brill remained an inspiration to all of us. They did not lose the smile nor did they lose the humor. Laughter remained the best medicine and everyone around were encouraged and inspired.

Just last week, July 5, 2017, Mrs. Brill suffered a stroke while teaching BS Accountancy students in UPHR-LP. She was brought to UPHR Medical Hospital and had two brain surgeries. She is now awake and doing better. However, with their current situation, we would like to help by seeking financial support for both of our inspiring accountants. Thank you in advance for your generosity and God bless!
